Monthly Giving
By donating through our monthly giving plans, you can ensure the education of one of our girls for the duration of her secondary schooling, while enabling us to confidently coordinate future activities, classes and programs.
- Ubuntu Patron: Ubuntu means that “I am what I am because of who we all are.”It is the driving philosophy behind all of our endeavors. Ensure the continuation and the development of our social enterprise. By becoming an Ubuntu Patron, you will be able to receive a photograph and the story of one of our girls, and will be kept updated on her progress in school.
- Harambee Sponsor: In Swahili, Harambee literally means to “all pull together.”And you’ll be helping the Bakhita Girls Family pull together for good by becoming a sponsor.
- Ujamaa Member: Ujamaa comes from the Swahili word for extended family, or familyhood. It stands for the belief that a person becomes a person through other people or community. Become part of our community.
- The sponsorship funds will not only go to benefitting one Bakhita girl. Rather your gift will be pooled together with the gifts of other sponsors and go directly to helping many young mothers and orphaned girls in Ifakara.

One-Time Gifts
- $1400 for one student’s full tuition for four years of secondary education
- $350 for one student’s full tuition for one academic year
- $195 for a student’s initial school supplies and books
- $50 for one student’s monthly stipends for an academic year
- If you have any particular preferences not listed above, you may tell us about it and we’ll try to stick to your wishes. Or you may not specify anything at all! Ultimately, we put the interest of the girls and the advice of our field staff first.
